Customer Engagement Initiative
Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas is joining with Girl Scouts of the USA and councils across the nation in a new way of engaging and communicating with volunteers, families and girl members. The project is the Customer Engagement Initiative (CEI) and it’s all about Girl Scouts becoming more customer friendly! The goal of CEI is to provide better customer service and innovative technology, to ease the processes of joining our Movement, leading a troop, serving as a volunteer, engaging in programs, receiving information, communicating with staff, and more!
How will CEI change my membership experience? It will
Make it easier to find a troop. The new online Opportunity Catalog will allow parents and volunteers to search for troops, locations and meeting days that work for them and show the volunteer positions that need to be filled to get the troop off the ground.
Simplify registration and background screening. Volunteers will move directly from registration to online background screening, simplifying the volunteer enrollment process while ensuring that volunteers are carefully screened.
Simplifying troop management. The new online Volunteer Toolkit, will help troop volunteers get what they need, when they need it, based on their troop’s calendar.Troops will be able to plan out their whole year and have a roster of all troop member information, accessible via computer or mobile device, and tools to facilitate communication between parents and troop leaders.
New and improved website. Our website received a fresh new look in October 2016, consistent with the Girl Scout brand and aligned with other councils across the country. The website features up-to-date information, a user-friendly calendar of events and easy to find council resources, right at your fingertips, whether on your computer, tablet, or smartphone!
