Heroes
Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas has been fortunate enough to have long standing support from many important and dedicated organizations within our 26 county area. This year, two companies have gone above and beyond to not only help our local Girl Scout Troops during the Girl Scout Cookie Program, but also in wanting to give back to our communities by saying thanks to the heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year saw the launch of the Cookies for Courage program and allowed new and innovative ways for Girl Scouts to participate in the cookie program, but also give back to their communities for all they have done during these challenging times.
Collectively H-E-B Gulf Coast region, H-E-B Border region as well as both Rio Grande & Coastal Bend Syndicate of McDonald's purchased 5,670 packages of Girl Scout Cookies to be donated to essential employees, healthcare heroes, first responders, and local educators who are showing our city’s courage on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
