2021 Annual Meeting
The 2020-2021 GSGST Annual Meeting welcomes all council members ages 14+ and features the board chair’s report, the CEO’s state of the council address, council updates, important votes, and networking. It’s a great way to engage older girls in the business of our Movement, too!
GSGST will be hosting its virtual 2020-2021 Annual Meeting on April 10, 2021.
Registration is now closed. Deadline for the event was March 20th, 2021.
What happens at the Annual Meeting?
- Elect officers, directors at large, members of the Board Development Committee; and every three years, the delegates and alternates to the National Convention.
- Consider any proposed amendments to the bylaws.
- Provide input on key issues affecting the Council and the Movement.
- Consider any other business appropriate to come before the corporation in accordance with the process established by the board of directors.
Annual Meeting Delegates
Purpose: Delegates are one group of decision-influencers that give direction for Girl Scouting within the council jurisdiction by acting as policy-influencers.
Through their vote at the annual meeting, delegates complete the following policy-influencing acts: Elect officers, members-at-large of the board of director members of the council nominating committee, and delegate to the National Council of Girl Scouts of the United States of America. Approve changes in the council’s Articles of incorporation and Bylaws. Conducts other business that requires a membership vote.
