We BELIEVE… in the power of girls. From her first troop
sleepover with her very best friends to designing her own adventure -
our girls find the sparkle that makes them special. And we think
that’s pretty cool
About Our Council
We’re Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas and we’re excited that you’re here! As your local Council, we’re your guide and partner to all things Girl Scouts and we can’t wait to get you started.
But first, you may be wondering a little about us…

We CONNECT…more than 17,000 girls and nearly 4,000 volunteers
experiencing new adventures every single day and making friendships
that will last a lifetime. Teamwork, friendship, and community unite
us and we shine so much brighter when we’re together.

We GET INVOLVED…our girls and volunteers change our communities
and the world through small acts of kindness and through BIG ideas
that make a lasting impact.

Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas is proud to be part of an organization that has a 100 year+ history of being welcoming and inclusive. Our policies of inclusion align with those of our national organization, Girl Scouts of the USA. We value diversity and inclusivity and do not discriminate or recruit on the basis of race, color, religion, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship, age, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, socioeconomic status, physical or developmental ability, nor any other category protected by applicable state, federal or local law.
Through our programming, the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, girls develop skills to advance diversity and promote tolerance in the twenty-first century. We are committed to understanding similarities and differences, building relationships and promoting a dialogue of acceptance and respect. Each individual involved must uphold the tenet that Girl Scouting is for all girls.
